Senior Accountant
Description
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 9 ACCA papers passed to join the Quest team as a Senior Accountant. We seek someone who is loyal, honest, hardworking, willing to learn, and interested in a long-term career as a professional accountant. Three to four years’ relevant experience required.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry into Excel, QuickBooks, or other accounting software as needed.
- Manage a basic monthly close process and prepare account reconciliation documents.
- Prepare draft Financial Statements using existing formats.
- Prepare advanced audit workpapers.
- Prepare draft budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare draft MoE reports.
- Document existing processes.
- Scan and file documents related to client engagements.
- Organize files and folders.
- Prepare and file complete/accurate tax returns for clients and solve routine problems at tax office.
- Analyze financial reports for clients
- Prepare monthly payroll for client that enable timely and accurate payment of salaries with the proper tax withholdings.
- Setup a basic financial system for clients.
- Review client accounting records and help clean up the books.
- Training clients in the various skills necessary to keep their financial system running properly.
- Ensure client satisfaction and proactively address any and all client concerns.
- Work as an outsourced Senior Finance Officer for clients as needed.
- Act as focal point for small clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or 9 ACCA papers
- 3 -4 years of experience in related field
- Seeks long-term career as professional accountant
- Loyal, honest, hardworking, and willing to learn
- Professional in manners and appearance
- Dari: good reading, writing, and verbal skills required
- English: good reading, writing, and verbal skills required
- Pashto: preferred but not required
