Quest Financial Services LLC is an accounting company based in Kabul, Afghanistan, providing professional client accounting services to international and local organizations. Led by an American CPA and staffed by qualified Afghans, the Quest team combines international best practices with local Afghan knowledge to provide a comprehensive set of accounting, tax, advisory, and audit services.


ABOUT QUEST
Quest was founded in Afghanistan in 2015 by Matt Nissley, an American CPA. Matt’s vision is to address the country’s need for robust accounting and financial management systems, all while equipping Afghanistan’s next generation of accountants and business leaders.
Quest is deeply invested in the success of its customers and seeks to create long-term impact through its services. Quest strives to become a trusted business advisor of every customer by gaining a deep understanding of the customer’s needs and providing relevant solutions.

Matt Nissley, CPA
Managing Director
Matt Nissley, a licensed Certified Public Accountant, started his career with an accounting firm in the United States where he performed audit and tax engagements for NGOs and private businesses. He then joined an international microfinance network and traveled worldwide to prepare subsidiary accounting records for consolidation with the home office. Matt founded Quest in 2015 and has built a dedicated team of Afghan accountants that have strengthened the financial systems of a broad range of organizations in Afghanistan. Matt strives to help his team and clients alike reach their full potential.

Ezatullah Zaki
Financial Operations Manager & Business Associate
Ezatullah Zaki graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Kabul University in 2008 and is now studying to become ACCA-qualified. Ezatullah joined Quest in 2015 and his consistent leadership in all areas of the business has been a pillar of Quest’s success. He has utilized his extensive expertise in accounting, taxation, and financial management to deliver exceptional results to many clients in various industries. Known for his strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail, he has led many of the firm’s tax advisory engagements providing valuable insights and guidance on tax planning, compliance, and optimization strategies.

Rasoul Istalifi, MBA
Project & Business Development Manager & Business Associate
Rasoul Istalifi holds an MBA from the Modern Institute of Management in New Delhi, India. He has a diverse professional background, including five years in banking and four years as a Deputy CEO in a medicine manufacturing company in Herat. Rasoul joined Quest in 2019 and has since led and managed several USAID-funded projects to provide 150+ local Afghan businesses with upgraded financial systems. In addition to managing Quest’s marketing strategies and sales processes, he also provides executive leadership to various internal projects to strengthen Quest’s organizational structure.

Freshta Niazi
Firm Administrator
Freshta Niazi earned a BBA from Jahan University in Kabul, Afghanistan and has many years of experience working in high-level finance and HR management positions. She joined Quest in the role of Firm Administrator in 2022 and is responsible to lead and manage Quest’s internal finance, HR, IT, and administrative functions. Freshta has leveraged her strong work ethic and attention to detail to bring many improvements to Quest.
